ABOUT LAFARGE KAMLOOPS
With an abundant quantity and quality of limestone nearby, Lafarge Kamloops Cement Plant was built in 1970 to support the construction of the Mica Dam spanning the Columbia River north of Revelstoke, British Columbia. For over 45 years, the Plant produced and supplied cement to British Columbia and Alberta markets before halting its cement manufacturing operation in October of 2016. The site has remained a cement distribution terminal and gypsum grinding facility.
